The Frankfurt wine, beer and spirits competition is proud to present its 2022 award-winners

Amongst the 4000+ samples put to the test:
- The world’s best wine comes from France
- The world’s best beer comes from the United States
- The world’s best spirits comes from Switzerland
For this 6th edition of the Frankfurt International Trophy, which took place on 8-9 April, organiser Armonia Deutschland GmbH once again brought 460 tasters to the historic hall in Frankfurt’s Palmengarten. Wines and beers were evaluated by a jury composed of experts, such as sommeliers and oenologists, and enlightened amateurs representing the tastes of future consumers. The spirits competition allows only experts to taste and judge the samples.
Almost 4,100 wines, beers and spirits were examined at the same time. The organiser can be quite proud of the results: despite fears inspired by poor harvests in 2021, and the pandemic in general, the competition continued to grow strongly. In all, 1,309 wines, beers and spirits were awarded one of the prestigious medals. In accordance with the 1/3 rule, 290 samples received a Great Gold medal (92+ points), 797 samples a Gold Medal (85+ points) and 222 samples a Silver Medal (80+ points).
