About the Frankfurt International Trophy
A tasting competition in the heart of Europe
Frankfurt is a European city located in the heart of Germany’s loveliest wine-growing regions. So it is only natural that each year the best products from Germany and across the world are awarded medals in Frankfurt. In 8 years, more than 26,000 products have been tasted, evaluated, and given marks. Today a product with a medal from the Frankfurt competition is sold every second somewhere in the world, making it one of the most important competitions globally.
Targeted and proactive advertising initiatives are making the competition increasingly well-known to consumers. The competition benefits from an excellent international reputation and has earned the trust of numerous tasters and producers.
Tasters from across the world (oenologists, sommeliers, restaurant owners, producers, winemakers and wine lovers, cheese experts, ham and sausage experts and experienced enthusiasts) meet each year in Frankfurt to award the best products.
The competition has the support of great names in the catering sector, and each year the honorary presidency is entrusted to one of them. The mission of the honorary presidents is to put their knowledge to work for the competition and its fame, and to represent the competition in their sector.

Results 2025
For the 9th edition of the Frankfurt International Trophy on 04-05 April 2025, event organiser brought more than 500 tasters to the historic hall in Frankfurt’s Palmengarten. Wines, beers and spirits were evaluated by a jury composed of experts such as sommeliers and oenologists, and enlightened amateurs representing the tastes of future consumers.
A total of 3500 wines, beers and spirits from 44 countries were examined.In all, 1143 wines, beers and spirits were awarded a coveted medal. 128 samples received a Great Gold medal (92+ points), 845 samples a Gold Medal (85+ points) and 170 samples a Silver Medal (80+ points). RESULTS
