Results 2019
Sponsored by Peter Feldmann, mayor of Frankfurt, the 3rd edition of the Frankfurt International Trophy took place on 12-13 April 2019 in the historical hall of the famous Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten. Wines, beers and spirits registered in the competition were presented to 271 international experts, who evaluated the samples alongside 96 experienced amateurs.
The competition is very popular with producers from all over the world. Only three years after its creation, the Frankfurt International Trophy received 2600 wines, beers and spirits from 39 countries: Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Moldova, Romania, the United States, the Netherlands, Poland, India, Japan, Russia, Chile, Namibia, Hungary, Israel and many others.
The competition continues to be a great success. This year producer registrations increased by 20% over last year. Given this increase, organisers extended the competition to two days of tasting instead of one.
On 12-13 April 2019, three tastings were held in the historical ballroom of the Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten in downtown Frankfurt:
Frankfurt International Wine Trophy - 1770 wines from more than 100 wine-growing regions across the world
Frankfurt International Beer Trophy - 560 beers registered in 69 categories
Frankfurt International Spirits Trophy - 310 spirits registered in 58 categories
